VATIC take their watch!

by

It is with great pleasure that we are able to announce our new UK Overwatch team in our first venture outside of the Counter-Strike series since our return as an organisation. It provides us with the chance to be represented in a refreshing, evolving game with an already well developed competitive scene.

Some of the players were already on our radar from when our search began several months ago, shortly before they became part of the TLR organisation, and while it has taken some time, we are delighted to have finally got the deal done.

The squad will be targeting UK Premiership qualification in ESL, and will be making their first appearance in purple jerseys at the next epic LAN event in February.

The lineup

I am very excited to be representing VATIC as their UK Overwatch team, coming from the CSGO scene I have only heard good things about both Matt and Mark. We hope to qualify for the upcoming ESL UK Premiership season as well as showing our LAN capabilities at epic.TWENTY in February. We are all very glad and excited for the opportunity that VATIC have given us and we hope to show our skill in the coming months.

We have been interested in branching off into Overwatch for some time now, and while my knowledge of the game doesn’t stretch much past ‘if you can hear an angry Japanese voice, RUN!’ I’m looking forward to getting my teeth into it and seeing VATIC represented in a new game. We’d been monitoring a previous incarnation of the lineup, and we’re pleased to finally be able to make the pickup. With a bit of hard graft over the coming months, I firmly believe the guys can build a strong platform to help them achieve their goals, and we hope to help them in any way we can to make it happen

As always we will keep you updated on the progress of the new team. In the meantime, you can follow and interact with the players on Twitter.

Following the conclusion of epic.NINETEEN, the latest addition to the CS:GO squad HoodluM has moved on to pastures new. We thank him for the short time he spent wearing the purple of VATIC and wish him all the best for the future. We as an organisation will continue to show our support to the remaining four players as they look to find a replacement for insomnia59 and beyond. Watch this space for further updates!
